The first season of Stranger Things is about a group of friends in 1980s Indiana who witness supernatural events and government secrets

The disappearance of Will Byers: Will Byers disappears while trying to get a rifle in his family's shed. His mother, Joyce, and brother, Jonathan, search for him, but the police chief thinks he's run away. 


The arrival of Eleven: A young girl with telekinetic abilities escapes from Hawkins National Laboratory and helps Will's friends find him. She's nicknamed "Eleven" by Mike. 


The involvement of dark government agencies: Dark government agencies and supernatural forces converge on the town. 


The supernatural trail: The search for Will creates a supernatural trail. 


The rescue of Will: Will is eventually rescued, but he's changed by his time in the Upside Down. 

 The moral story of Stranger Things
